Rachel was born and raised in the Cambridgeshire countryside of England, but has been living and working in Europe for the last six years. She has a BA(Hons) Illustration from Cambridge School of Art and used this to frame her career in Children’s Book Publishing with Penguin Random House UK. Rachel now spends her time coaching others to advocate for themselves, take up space and make the work they truly want to make with FierceFolks Coaching.

During the pandemic, she returned to her roots of working with her hands to create art in the form of illustrations, lino printing and ceramics. Inspired by nature, the cycle of life and her morbid fascination with death has led to some weird, wonderful, slightly eclectic and obscure handbuilt pieces, particularly using the methods of Raku and Kintsugi to enhance her work. Choosing to make art for herself and for the sheer joy of it (with the occasional commission) she doesn’t often display or sell her work.​​
