Service Description

This weekend wheel workshop is for Beginners Only. Meeting Saturday and Sunday for 2 hours, from 14-16uur. DAY ONE AGENDA: Centering (getting the clay to sit right in the middle of your wheel) Pulling walls (bringing the clay up to form the sides of your work) Shaping (forming the walls) DAY TWO AGENDA: Trimming (carving your work after it has dried to leather hard) Creating Foot Rings Decorating (options include carving, stamping, adding a handle and underglaze painting) Everything is included: clay, underglazes, all tools needed, and the two-step firing of your work (both bisque and glaze fire). You choose from over 50 glaze colors, which we will put on your piece for you. You will complete one bowl or cup, ready for pick-up 2-3 weeks later. Make sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and consider cutting you finger nails. You must attend both sessions. All classes are taught in English.
