This 5-class course is for All Levels. Meeting Tuesdays for 2.5 hours, from 18:30-21:00. Beginners will learn: Wedging (getting the air bubbles out of the clay) Centering (getting the clay to sit right in the middle of your wheel) Pulling walls (bringing the clay up to form the sides of your work) Shaping (forming the walls) Trimming (carving your work after it has dried to leather hard) Creating Foot Rings Glazing (painting your work with under and finished glazes) This course includes the use of in-house clay, brush glazes (under and over), tools, and the two-step firing of your work (both bisque and final fire). Students will complete 4 BOWLS. Make sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and consider cutting you finger nails. All classes are taught in English.
